1. Terms of Service

1.1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BitDigo bdGo OS ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. BitDigo Ltd. ("BitDigo", "we", "us", "our") reserves the right to update these terms at any time.

1.2 Description of Service

bdGo OS is a local-first, decentralized business operating system built on the Nostr protocol. It provides tools for point-of-sale (POS), ERP, CRM, inventory management, and Lightning Network payment settlement. The Service operates as a progressive web application (PWA) with offline-first capabilities.

1.3 User Accounts & Authentication

Authentication is performed exclusively through Nostr cryptographic keys (nsec/npub). You are solely responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your private key. BitDigo does not store, transmit, or have access to your private key at any time. Loss of your private key results in permanent loss of access to your account and associated data.

1.4 Data Ownership

You retain 100% ownership of all data created through the Service. Business transactions are signed as Nostr events and stored locally on your device and on Nostr relays. BitDigo does not host, control, or have access to your business data. You are free to export, migrate, or delete your data at any time using standard Nostr tooling.

1.5 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for:

  • Any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
  • Fraudulent transactions or money laundering
  • Interference with Nostr relay infrastructure or other users
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code

1.6 Payments & Lightning Network

Payment processing is facilitated through the Bitcoin Lightning Network. BitDigo does not custody, hold, or process fiat or bitcoin funds. All Lightning transactions are peer-to-peer between you and your customers. You are responsible for managing your own Lightning wallet and node configuration.

1.7 Open Source License

bdGo OS is released under an open source license. You may review, audit, and contribute to the source code. Modifications and forks are permitted in accordance with the applicable license terms.

1.8 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. BitDigo does not guarantee uninterrupted service, data preservation, or compatibility with third-party Nostr relays or Lightning nodes.

1.9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BitDigo Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of funds, or business interruption.
